Ancient Greece was a civilisation that started on the Greek islands of Crete and then spread across the eastern Mediterranean.
WHO WERE THE ANCIENT GREEKS?
When we talk about the ancient Greeks, we usually mean the period of time between 1200BCE and 323BCE. This was a time when there was a lot of cultural, social and scientific progress.
